These terms apply to repair, maintenance and related services provided by Hitech Computer & IT Solutions (UEN 53319732E) ("Hitech", "we", "us") at our branches in Singapore. By leaving a device with us, or by asking us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.
We access a device only as far as needed to diagnose and test the repair. We do not copy, keep or read your personal files, and we do not ask for your account passwords. Where a software or data recovery job requires access, we will explain why first.
We are not liable for loss of data, files, settings or software, whether caused by the fault itself, the repair, or a part failure. Data recovery is attempted on a best-effort basis and cannot be guaranteed. Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a repair is limited to the amount you paid us for that repair. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer in Singapore.
We may decline or stop work where a device is beyond economical repair, where parts are unavailable, where a device appears to be stolen or unlawfully obtained, or where we cannot work safely. If we cannot complete a repair, we will tell you and agree with you what happens to the device and to any amount already paid.
Devices must be collected within 30 days of the ready notification. After that period we accept no responsibility for the device, including loss, damage or deterioration however caused, and a reasonable storage charge may apply. We will still make reasonable attempts to contact you using the details you gave us; if we cannot reach you after written notice, we may deal with the device in accordance with Singapore law, including recovering reasonable storage and administrative costs.
Annual maintenance contracts and on-site support are governed by the specific agreement and service scope issued for that contract. Where those terms conflict with this page, the contract terms prevail.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the Singapore courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any right you have to raise a consumer complaint with the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE).
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change when we do. The terms in force when you leave a device with us are the ones that apply to that repair.
